  • 200 g strawberries
  • 15 g instant gelatin
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • half a lemon
 

 

Preparation

    1. Chop the strawberries in a blender. You can use either fresh or frozen berries.

    2. Add gelatin to this mixture and let it sit for a while to swell. After that, add another 120 grams of powdered sugar and lemon juice. Mix this mixture thoroughly and heat it over low heat. Cook until the gelatin dissolves, but do not bring the mixture to a boil.

    3. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool. Then whip it with a mixer for about 6 minutes until the mixture lightens and thickens.

    4. Take a suitable mold for setting, place wax paper in it, and pour the strawberry mixture on top. Smooth it out and place it in a cool place for 5–6 hours to set.
    5. When the rahat-lukum has set, remove it from the mold, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, and cut it into cubes.
