You will need: 1700 g of walnut colored MONPJAl MERINO MAXl yarn (50% merino wool, 50% acrylic, 60 m/100 g), straight and auxiliary needles No. 9,
darning needle

To get a product one size larger/smaller than specified, you need to add/subtract 2 cm (4 p. of purl stitches on the back, 1 p. on each front) in width and 2 cm (3 rows) in length.

Purl stitch: right side - purl stitch, wrong side - knit stitch.
Seed stitch (even number of stitches):
1st row: alternately 1 knit, 1 purl, then knit each knit as purl and vice versa.
Extended stitch:
1st row: slip the stitch to the left needle as purl, without knitting, yarn behind the work;
2nd row: knit the stitch purl;
3rd row: repeat the pattern from the 1st row. Diamond pattern (22 sts): knit according to chart 1; 35th row: repeat the pattern from the 3rd row; in even rows, knit all stitches according to the pattern.

Cable (16 sts): knit according to chart 2; 9th row: repeat the pattern from the 1st row; in even rows, knit all stitches according to the pattern. Knitting density. Seed stitch and purl stitch: 10 sts and 16 rows = 10x10 cm; cable: 16 sts = 11 cm; diamond pattern: 22 sts = 16 cm.

Back: cast on 67 sts and for the band knit 7 rows of seed stitch and 1 row of purl (total 4 cm). Then knit as follows: 5 sts of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, 22 sts of diamond pattern, 1 extended stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 7 sts of seed stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, 3 sts of purl stitch, 16 sts of cable, 9 sts of purl stitch. After 55 cm from the band for the armhole slopes, bind off on both sides in every 2nd row 1 x 4 sts and 2 x 1 st.
After 20 cm from the beginning of the armhole slopes, bind off 16 edge stitches for each shoulder and set aside the middle 22 sts.

Left front: cast on 37 sts and knit the band as for the back, but knitting 1 extended stitch on the left. Then knit as follows: 9 sts of purl stitch, 16 sts of cable, 3 sts of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 6 sts of seed stitch, 1 extended stitch. After 55 cm from the band for the armhole slope, bind off on the right side in every 2nd row 1 x 4 sts and 2 x 1 st. After 20 cm from the beginning of the armhole slope, bind off 16 sts for the shoulder on the right and set aside the remaining 15 sts.

Right front: cast on 37 sts and knit the band as for the left front, but knitting 1 extended stitch on the right. Then knit as follows: 1 extended stitch, 6 sts of seed stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, 22 sts of diamond pattern, 1 extended stitch, 5 sts of purl stitch. After 55 cm from the band for the armhole slope, bind off on the left side in every 2nd row 1 x 4 sts and 2 x 1 st. After 20 cm from the beginning of the armhole slope, bind off 16 sts on the left and set aside the remaining 15 sts.

Left sleeve: cast on 34 sts and knit the band as for the back. Then knit as follows: 5 sts of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, 22 sts of diamond pattern, 1 extended stitch, 5 sts of purl stitch. Increase on both sides in every 8th row 8 x 1 st and knit the added stitches in purl. After 45 cm from the band for the sleeve cap, bind off on both sides in every 2nd row 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 8 x 1 st and 1 x 2 sts. After 14 cm from the beginning of the sleeve cap, bind off the remaining 18 sts.

Right sleeve: knit as the left, but after the band knit the stitches as follows: 9 sts of purl stitch, 16 sts of cable, 9 sts of purl stitch.

Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. For the hood, transfer the stitches set aside for the neck to the needles and knit as follows: on the right front stitches 1 extended stitch, 6 sts of seed stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 1 extended stitch, increase 3 sts between the next 6 sts of the front and 3 sts between the first 6 sts of the back and knit the resulting 18 sts in purl; knit the next 11 sts according to the pattern; increase 3 sts between the next 6 sts of the back and 3 sts between the first 6 sts of the left front and knit the resulting 18 sts in purl, then 1 extended stitch, 1 st of purl stitch, 6 sts of seed stitch, 1 extended stitch. After 19 cm from the beginning of the hood, decrease on both sides from the middle 9 sts 1 x 1 st, knit 14 rows and decrease in every 2nd row 8 x 1 st (on the wrong side, on the right 2 sts together purl twisted, on the left 2 sts together purl). After 38 cm from the beginning of the hood, bind off the remaining 47 sts.

Fold the hood in half and sew together the corresponding stitches of the last row. Perform side seams, sleeve seams, and set in the sleeves. Make 2 hanging stitches along the edge of the right front: for the 1st, insert the hook into the last stitch at the base of the hood, secure the yarn with 1 slip stitch, make a chain of 8 air stitches and secure it with 1 slip stitch in the last stitch of the front 5 rows below; cut and secure the yarn. For the 2nd hanging stitch, step down 14 rows from the 1st. Sew on the buttons.
