Sizes S (M, L, XL).

Finished cardigan sizes:

bust 85 (92, 99, 106) cm,

length 48 (49, 50, 52) cm.

Materials for knitting the leaf-pattern cardigan:

Yarn Hjertegarn Alpaca Silk (60% alpaca, 30% merino wool, 10% silk, 160 meters in 50 grams) 4 (5, 5, 6) skeins of dark powder color.

Needles 2.5 mm circular 80 cm long.

Needles 3 mm circular 80 cm long.

Select needles necessary to achieve the specified gauge.

Additionally: a needle, seven pearl buttons with a diameter of 10-12 mm.

Gauge: 26 stitches and 37 rows = 10 cm stockinette stitch with larger needles.


Vest with short sleeves and leaf pattern
This lovely feminine vest with a yoke knitted in a leaf pattern is worked from top to bottom.

Sizes: S M L XL
Bust: 33 ½, 36 ¾, 39 ¼, 42"/ 85, 92, 99, 106 cm
Length: 19, 19 ¼, 19 ¼, 20 ½"/48, 49, 50, 52 cm

Yarn of medium thickness (Sportweight, #2 Fine). The model in the photo is knitted from Hjertegarn Silk yarn (60% alpaca, 30% merino wool, 10% silk; 180 m/40 g). For sizes S (M, L, XL) you will need 2260, 4 (5, 5, 6) skeins.

Needles U.S.1.5 (2.5 mm), 32" (80 cm) long, and U.S.5 (3.75 mm), 32" (80 cm) long (needed due to the large number of stitches)
Additionally: tapestry needle, 7 pearl buttons, diameter 3/8 – 1/2" (10–12 mm).

Gauge: 26 sts x 37 rows = 4" (10 cm) when knitting stockinette stitch with larger needles.


Yoke
With smaller needles, cast on 147 (147, 153, 159) stitches. Knit 5 rows in stockinette stitch, in the last row evenly increase (0, 10, 20) stitches – 147 (147, 163, 179) sts.
Switch to larger needles.
Next row (RS): *1 knit, 1 purl, *7 knit, 1 purl; repeat from * to the last stitch, 1 knit (edge stitch).
Next row: 1 knit (edge stitch), knit the first 16 stitches of the yoke pattern, repeat the next 16 stitches of the pattern 8 (8, 9, 10) times, 3 knit (edge stitch).
Knit according to the pattern for 64 rows – 327 (327, 363, 399) sts.


Dividing the work
Next row (RS): knit 46 (46, 52, 58) stitches of the left front, bind off 70 (70, 76, 82) stitches for the sleeve, knit 95 (95, 107, 119) stitches of the back, bind off 70 (70, 76, 82) stitches for the sleeve, knit 46 (46, 52, 58) stitches of the right front – 187 (187, 211, 235) sts.

Next row: continue knitting in 1x1 ribbing in the established order, after 3 rows increase by casting on 16 (25, 22, 19) stitches at the edges of the fronts; repeat once more, knit to the end of the row – 219 (237, 255, 273) sts.

Note: If you want to increase the bust circumference (especially for sizes L and XL), you can, for example, cast on 4 more stitches between the front and back in additional stitches in stockinette stitch.
Continue knitting until the length of the piece reaches 17 1/8, 17 ¼, 17 ¼, 17 ½"/ (43, 44, 44.5, 45 cm) from the start of knitting at the center back. Bind off all stitches according to the pattern.

Finishing
Weave in the ends. Perform blocking, laying the garment according to measurements.


Button band
With smaller needles, on the WS, cast on 126 (130, 133, 136) stitches along the edge of the left front.
Knit 3 rows in stockinette stitch. Bind off all stitches knitwise.
Repeat the button band by casting on 126 (130, 133, 136) stitches along the edge of the right front.

Next row (WS, with buttonholes): 2 (4, 2, 4) knit, *bind off 2 stitches, 18 (18, 19, 19) knit; repeat from * 5 more times, bind off 2 sts, knit to the end of the row.
Next row: cast on 2 stitches over the bound off stitches.

Knit 3 more rows in stockinette stitch. Bind off all stitches knitwise.
Sew on the buttons according to the buttonholes.
