A thin top, perfect for warm days!

Knit in the round, from top to bottom.

Sizes: A (B) C (D) E (F) G (H) I

Chest circumference:
85 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) 160 cm

I recommend a positive ease of 0 – 10 cm, but choose as you like.

Full length: 50 cm, or shorter/longer, as desired.

Recommended yarn:
Use your favorite yarn of fingering weight (175-250 m/50 g).

Amount of yarn:
700 (750) 800 (850) 950 (1050) 1150 (1250) 1350 m.

Note! The amount may vary depending on the yarn you use.

Gauge: 24 stitches = 10 cm, in stockinette stitch, after blocking

Recommended needles:
Ribbing needles; 3 mm
Main needles; 3 mm for lace pattern) and 3.5 mm for stockinette stitch.

Use the needles you need to achieve the same gauge for the lace pattern and stockinette stitch.

I used 3 mm needles to achieve the specified lace gauge.

Knit a swatch, wash and block it to ensure you have found the right needles for you.

NOTE:

I recommend you read the description before starting. This top is knitted from top to bottom, in the round, with short rows to shape the neckline.

Ribbing: *k1, p1*

Instructions

Using ribbing needles, cast on 96 (100) 100 (104) 108 (116) 116 (116) 116 stitches.

pm to mark BO, this is the center back.

Knit 5 rounds in knit.

Knit ribbing for 1 round: *k1, p1*.

Short rows (knit in established ribbing pattern!): (Use your preferred method, I use “German short rows”.)

Note! : pm at center front before starting short rows!

Row 1 (RS): Knit ribbing to 10 stitches before M at the front, turn.

Row 2 (WS): Knit ribbing to 10 stitches before M at the front, turn.

Row 3 (RS): Knit ribbing to 5 stitches before the last turn, turn.

Row 4 (WS): Knit ribbing to 5 stitches before the last turn, turn.

Repeat rows 3 and 4 one more time.

Knit ribbing to BO (RS). Now you have turned three times from both sides of M at the center front.

Knit 2 more rounds in ribbing, closing the gaps from the short rows (in the first round), removing M from the front.

Switch to main size needles.

Round with M1R:
*k4, yarn over*, repeat to BO.

= 120 (125) 125 (130) 135 (145) 145 (145) 145 stitches.

Next round: knit.

Round with M1L:
k2, *yarn over, k5*, repeat from * to * to 3 stitches before BO, M1L, k3.

= 144 (150) 150 (156) 162 (174) 174 (174) 174 stitches.

Next round: knit.

All sizes (switch to the needles you need for knitting the lace pattern to maintain gauge): Knit according to chart A.

Try on your piece after row 54 and decide if you need to knit the rest of the chart.

After the chart: Switch to the main size needles.

= 312 (338) 364 (390) 416 (442) 468 (494) 520 stitches.

Next round: knit.

Note! Please try on the yoke to check the fit. If you want to make it longer before separating the body from the sleeves, now is the time to do it.

Separating the work for the body and sleeves:

From BO, knit 48 (50) 54 (59) 63 (67) 72 (76) 80 stitches, place the next 60 (69) 74 (77) 82 (87) 90 (95) 100 stitches on a holder for the right sleeve, cast on 7 (9) 11 (13) 17 (21) 23 (27) 31 stitches for the armhole, knit 96 (100) 108 (118) 126 (134) 144 (152) 160 stitches, place the next 60 (69) 74 (77) 82 (87) 90 (95) 100 stitches on a holder for the left sleeve, cast on 7 (9) 11 (13) 17 (21) 23 (27) 31 stitches for the armhole, knit 48 (50) 54 (59) 63 (67) 72 (76) 80 stitches to BO

= 206 (218) 238 (262) 286 (310) 334 (358) 382 stitches.

Next round: start knitting chart B, as follows:

From this point, work as follows:

From BO, k47 (50) 55 (61) 67 (73) 79 (85) 91, knit Chart B (9 stitches), k94 (100) 110 (122) 134 (146) 158 (170) 182, knit Chart B (9 stitches), k47 (50) 55 (61) 67 (73) 79 (85) 91 to BO.

Knit in established pattern until 20 cm from the armhole, or 2 cm shorter than the desired length.

Then: switch to the ribbing needles, *k1, p1* repeat the ribbing pattern for the next 9 rounds. Bind off stitches in pattern using a stretchy bind-off method.

Sleeves (both sleeves are knitted the same way): Return 60 (69) 74 (77) 82 (87) 90 (95) 100 stitches of the sleeve from the holder to the main needles.
