Stylish mohair jacket

You will need: Yarn (70% mohair wool, 15% sheep wool, 15% polyamide; 57 m/25 g) – 350 (400) g of white; needles No. 5 and 6.

Ribbing: alternating 1 knit, 1 purl.

Stockinette stitch: knit row – knit stitches, purl row – purl stitches.

Knitting density. stockinette stitch with double yarn: 12.5 sts and 17 g. = 10 X 10 cm.

Back. On needles No. 5, cast on 52 (56-60-64) sts and knit for the lower band 6 cm = 7 rows of ribbing, starting with a purl row. Then knit on needles No. 6 in stockinette stitch. After 45 (47-49-51) cm = 58 (60-64-66) rows from the lower band, cast off 7 (7-7-9) sts at both sides for shoulder slopes once, and in every 2nd row 2 times 6 (7-8-8) sts.
At the same time, when starting the shoulder slopes, cast off 8 sts in the middle for the neckline and first finish the left side. To round the neckline, cast off 2 sts once and 1 st once from the inner edge in every 2nd row. Finish the other side symmetrically.

Left front. On needles No. 5, cast on 27 (29-31-33) sts and knit for the lower band 6 cm = 7 rows of ribbing, starting with a purl row. Then knit on needles No. 6 and distribute the sts as follows: selvedge, 3 (5-7-9) sts in stockinette stitch.

After 15 (17-19-21) cm = 20 (22-26-28) rows from the lower band, cast off 1 st from the left edge for the neckline slope once, then in every 4th row 6 times 1 st and in every 6th row 2 times 1 st.

After 30 cm = 38 rows from the start of the neckline slope, cast off 7 (7-7-9) sts from the right edge for the shoulder slope once, and in every 2nd row 2 times 6 (7-8-8) sts.

Right front. Knit symmetrically to the left front.

Sleeves. On needles No. 5, cast on 22 (24-26-28) sts and knit for the band 6 cm = 7 rows of ribbing, starting with a purl row. Then knit on needles No. 6 in stockinette stitch.

For the slopes, increase 1 st on both sides in the 7th row from the band once, then 7 (8-7-6) times in every 6th row and 0 (0-2-4) times in every 4th row by 1 st. = 38 (42-46-50) sts. After 42 (44-46-48) cm = 54 (56-60-62) rows from the band, cast off all sts.

Assembly. Make shoulder seams. Set in the sleeves. Then make the seams of the sleeves and side seams.
