The recipe will appeal to those who do not like to deal with yeast dough, and of course to those who simply have a shortage of time.
The braids turn out to be airy and soft!
You will need:
250 g of flour
3 tsp of baking powder
100 g of sugar
1 packet of vanillin (optional)
125 g of cottage cheese
1 egg
80 ml of milk
50 g of melted butter
How to prepare:
1. Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift, and add vanillin.
2. Beat the egg white with sugar. Add cottage cheese, milk, and butter, and mix. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough.
3. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Each piece into 3 parts.
4. On a floured surface, shape 3 strips about 20 - 30 cm long each and braid them together. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Mix the yolk with 1 tbsp of milk and brush the braids with it.
You can sprinkle with sugar, nuts, sesame seeds…
6. If you leave the braids on the baking sheet for 15-20 minutes, they will increase in size and become even fluffier. Bake at 180-200°C for about 20 minutes.
