Pullover sizes: 36/38 (40) 42/44
You will need: 500 (550) 600 g of yellow or green Toredo yarn (40% cotton, 40% polyacrylic, 20% polyamide, 85 m/50); 1 long and 1 short circular needles and a set of double-pointed needles No. 4.5.
Square: cast on 8 sts, evenly distribute them on 4 double-pointed needles, join work in the round and knit according to pattern 1 round. The pattern shows only the odd rounds. In the even rounds, knit the stitches and yarn overs knitwise. Repeat the pattern stitches 4 times (1 pattern on the needle at the beginning), making increases according to the pattern.
If necessary, switch to shorter circular needles. Knit rounds 1 to 46 once, then place 180 sts (= 4 patterns of 45 sts) on hold.
Garter stitch: knit all rows knitwise; in circular rows, alternate between 1 round knitwise, 1 round purlwise.
Stockinette stitch: knit the knit rows purlwise, and purl rows knitwise; in circular rows, knit all purlwise.
Lace pattern width 14 sts: knit according to pattern 2, which shows only the odd rounds. In the even rounds, knit all stitches and yarn overs knitwise. Repeat rounds 1 to 10.
Attention: in every 9th round of the pattern, do not make decreases on both sides of the yarn overs and thus add 2 sts in each pattern. The added stitches should be knitted in stockinette stitch, and the next pattern should be executed again centered over the previous one.
Knitting density.
1 square = 27.5 x 27.5 cm
Garter stitch: 16.5 sts and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Stockinette stitch and lace pattern: 16.5 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Attention: knit the pullover as one piece, starting with the squares and side pieces with sleeves, as well as the lower part. The arrow on the pattern = direction of knitting.
Work description: knit 1 square for the back and front. On long circular needles, transfer the first 45 held sts of the 1st square for the left side, cast on 15 sts for the neckline and include the first 45 held sts of the 2nd square into work. Knit 105 sts in garter stitch, starting with 1 purl row. After 8 cm = 27 rows (9.5 cm = 33 rows) 11.5 cm = 39 rows from the increase of stitches, close for the side seam 1 x 23 (20) 17 sts on both sides, and continue knitting the remaining 59 (65) 71 sts for the sleeve in garter stitch. After 16 cm = 55 rows (19 cm = 65 rows) 22 cm = 75 rows from the cast-on, close all stitches. Work the right side with the sleeve from the opposite sides of the square in the same way.
On short circular needles, cast on for the neckline finishing 45 held sts of the 1st square, 15 sts - as a new cast-on, 45 sts of the 2nd square, and 15 sts - as a new cast-on, and knit all 120 sts in garter stitch in the round, decreasing 2 sts in the 1st round over each square and each new cast-on = 76 sts. After 1 cm = 4 rounds from the neckline, close all stitches knitwise. Complete the side seams and sleeve seams.
On long circular needles, cast on for the lower part, starting from the side seam, along the short side of the side piece 14 (17) 20 sts, include the 45 held sts from the next square into work, cast on along the short sides of the side piece through the 2nd side seam 27 (33) 39 sts, include the 45 sts from the next square, and along the short side of the last side piece cast on 13 (16) 19 sts. Knit all 144 (156) 168 sts in garter stitch, starting with 1 round purl.
After 4 cm = 14 rounds (5.5 cm = 18 rounds) 6.5 cm = 22 rounds, distribute the stitches as follows: 7 sts of lace pattern (= last 7 sts of the pattern) * 22 (25) 28 sts of stockinette stitch, 14 sts of lace pattern, repeat from * 2 more times, finishing with 22 (25) 28 sts of stockinette stitch and 7 sts of lace pattern (= first 7 sts of the pattern). Due to the increases in the lace pattern, the number of stitches in the stockinette sections in the 9th round of the pattern increases by 2 sts. After 24 cm = 60 rows from the end of the garter stitch, there will be 192 (204) 216 sts on the needle. Knit for the neckline another 1 cm = 4 rounds in garter stitch, then close all stitches knitwise.
