YOU WILL NEED:

YARN: 1400 g of lilac yarn MONDIAL GENIALE (100% wool, 53 m/50 g)
NEEDLES: straight needles No. 9 and No. 10
AND ALSO: darning needle

Double Ribbing:

Cast on half the required number of stitches + 1 st with contrasting yarn;
Row 1: with working yarn K1, P1, yarn in front;
repeat from * to *;
Row 2: K1, P1 — repeat from * to *.
Knit in ribbing 1 × 1.

Garter Stitch:

knit all rows.

Stockinette Stitch:

Row 1 — knit,
Row 2 — purl.

Reverse Stockinette Stitch:

Row 1 — purl,
Row 2 — knit.

Main Pattern (number of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 1):

Row 1: 2 stitches crossed to the right (knit the 2nd stitch in front of the 1st stitch, without slipping it off the needle, then knit the 1st stitch and slip both stitches off), 2 knit.;
repeat from * to *;
Row 2 and all even rows: knit as pattern;
Row 3: 1 knit, 2 stitches crossed to the right, 1 knit. — repeat;
Row 5: 2 knit, 2 stitches crossed to the right — repeat;
Row 7: 2 stitches crossed to the right, 2 knit. — repeat;
Row 9: repeat from Row 1.

Knitting Gauge:

Main pattern, needles No. 10: 9 stitches and 12 rows = 10 × 10 cm

Back and Front Panels:

On needles No. 9 cast on 130 stitches and knit 5 cm in double ribbing.
Then switch to needles No. 10 and continue with the main pattern.
After 40 cm from the start of knitting, divide the work as follows:
44 stitches — left front, 42 stitches — back, 44 stitches — right front.

Knit each part separately.
After 68 cm from the start of knitting, work 3 cm in garter stitch, then bind off all stitches.

Sleeves:

On needles No. 9 cast on 32 stitches and knit 5 cm in double ribbing.
Switch to needles No. 10 and continue as follows:
1 edge stitch, 1 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl — repeat, finish with 1 edge stitch.
After 17 cm from the start of knitting, set these stitches aside.
Knit the second sleeve similarly.

Assembly:

Pick up the 92 stitches set aside (back + front panels)
= Row 1: on both sides add 1 edge stitch and 1 purl to 44 stitches, to the 42 stitches of the back — 1 edge stitch and 1 purl.
= total 98 stitches.

Knit 17 cm according to the pattern and set these stitches aside.
Pick up the 32 stitches set aside from the sleeve:
= Row 1: on both sides add 1 edge stitch and 1 purl to 32 stitches.
= total 36 stitches.
Knit 17 cm, then join with the front and back.
First knit 3 cm in garter stitch, then bind off the stitches.
