• ∨ (left slanting) – knit 2 stitches together through the back loops, slanting to the left

To knit, you need to cast on a number of stitches that is a multiple of 4 plus 2 for symmetry plus 2 edge stitches.

Row 1: knit, 2 purls, *2 knits, 2 purls* — repeat from * to the last 3 stitches, finish with 2 purls, knit.
Rows 2 and all even: as pattern, make yarn overs as purls.
Row 3: knit, 2 purls, *yarn over, knit 2 together through the back loops*, at the end 2 purls, knit.
Row 5: knit, 2 purls, *knit 2 together through the front loops, yarn over*, 2 purls, knit.

Alternate the knitted pattern from rows 3 to 6.
