Short Cardigan

Short cardigan with a geometric pattern

Between the width repeats, there are vertical openwork stripes. They are knitted as follows:

Row 1 (RS): yarn over, knit 2 together, yarn over.

Row 2 (WS): knit the stitches according to the pattern (purl when working back and forth rows, knit when working in the round).

The construction of the cardigan is quite simple. The back is knitted as a rectangular piece, the armholes are straight.

If you look closely, you will notice that the neckline shaping on the back has not been done, but I still recommend forming it by deepening it at least 3 cm. The garment will fit much better, this has been proven.

The front band is knitted integrally together with the front pieces in 1x1 rib, harmonizing with the hem and cuffs.

The sleeves are worked straight without increases or decreases from the cuff, but the pattern allows you to pick them up directly from the armholes and knit them top-down toward the cuffs.
